
Beginner’s Guide to Meta Business Suite for Scheduling & Insights

What is Meta Business Suite?
Meta Business Suite (known prior as Facebook Business Suite) is a free service established by Meta (the parent company of Facebook and Instagram) to help you manage both platforms in one place. It allows you to schedule content, reply to comments/messages, check insights, and even create ads all in one dashboard.
There’s no longer need to jump from app to app and forget what or when to post. A little setup will have your content running as you run your business.
- You need to have a Facebook Page and either an Instagram Business or Creator account.

- Go to business.facebook.com and log in with your current Facebook account.
- Once in, integrate the two by linking the Facebook and Instagram accounts so that Meta will manage both.
- Download the App (optional but beneficial)

- You have access to Meta Business Suite through a website portal on your computer or an app download on iPhone or Google Play Store.
- Downloading the app makes it easier to schedule on the fly and respond to messages.
- Set Your Page Roles

- If someone else helps you post occasionally, you can grant them access via “Page Roles” in your settings.
- This keeps you in control but enables them to help you out for consistency.
How to Schedule Like a Boss
One of my favorite elements of Meta Business Suite I use every single day is the content scheduler.
- Go to “Planner”

- This is your calendar with a visualized lineup of everything you ever posted and everything you plan to post next.
- Click “Create Post”

- You choose whether it’s for Facebook or Instagram or both.
- Then add the image/video, caption, hashtags, and links.
- Choose Date & Time

- You can select what time & date you want it to go live.
- I love posting when my followers are active—Meta Insights tells you (more on that later).
- Preview of Your Post

- You can check it out before you schedule to ensure it looks good on mobile and desktop.
- Schedule It!

- That’s all! Your post is ready to go without you being glued to your phone all day.
Insider Info: Do a bulk session. Create a week’s or months’ worth of posts all in one sitting.
How to Get Meta Insights
Now let’s talk about the second life-changing option Insights. This is how you know what’s working and what’s not.
To access your metrics, simply:
- Click “Insights” on the left side column.
- Look at Reach & Engagement
- Reach = The amount of people that saw your post
- Engagement = Likes, comments, shares, saves. When a post gets great engagement, create more like it!
Look at Page & Follower Increase
You want to see what happens with your audience increase over time
This is how you can find out the times your followers are active.
- Get More Insights
- You can also get insights from individual posts— so you know which had the most reach/engagement.
Messages & Comments
Not only that, but you can respond to your community as well via Meta Business Suite:
- Go to the Inbox tab to see all your messages and comments in one place.
- Respond to DMs on Instagram as well as Facebook Messenger right from this tab without toggling between apps.
- Set up automated responses for people who message you or thank you for leaving a comment.
Responding deepens the connection—and boosts your algorithm. Even if it’s a simple thank you or a love emoji, I spend 5 minutes responding.
